contentment in consistency,

I’ve decided that I like school. I enjoy homework. The constancy of my daily schedule is relieving in a way. Every day, I go to school, attend my 7 classes, see the same people, hang out in the parking lot (as all upperclassmen do), and bum a ride home. It makes me feel somewhat settled to know that I‘ll always come home, do my homework, clean up, and go to sleep. No confusion (except in math), no crazy surprises, nothing so out of the ordinary. And that feels good to me; it feels right. We are creatures of habit, no? I’m sure I’ll get bored soon, but at the moment I couldn’t be happier for stability.
