Me and my new friend Nueng

What a trip this has been. I have made a complete lap around the world. I have tried things I may not have tried at home. I rode an elephant. I met kids I wanted to put in my suitcase and take home with me. I hopped on a plane to go somewhere that I knew absolutely no one. I survived living on a boat for a whole week. I learned to speak Australian. I met a very nice boy I hope to see again one day soon.

I have no idea what's next for me. Well I sort of do. Today I am going to catch a bus to Zadar and try to not feel lonely. Tomorrow I am going to fly home. Thursday I am going to New York for TBEX. Past that I have no idea. Not sure I like the uncertainty as much as I did before.

In some sense I am glad to come home. I am desperately craving Mexican food and my own bed that doesn't move. I miss my family even though I don't like to admit it. But this view could keep someone here forever.

Thank you to my entire family who made my graduation so special. Especially those crazy sisters who weren't afraid to do some damage to public property with me.

Rare Breed

We are a rare breed, us Eubanks girls. We have the humor and honesty of our father and the friendliness of our mother. Sometimes people can't handle our honesty, but they at least respect it. We are strong minded, driven and I think we look pretty cute. So why am I talking us up so much? Because I want to remind my sisters.

You two are amazing girls that will do so much in life. I think Rachel will be famous, but for what I'm not yet sure. She is talented in acting, singing and writing. It could be any number of things. Sammi is fiercely independent and I could totally see her pulling an Into the Wild (minus the ending). She is so strong in her beliefs and I wish I could say the same. You're both such amazing people. I don't want you to ever let anyone make you feel like you aren't good enough in any way. I admire you both and whenever you're feeling down, read this post.

Lusting for the Wanderlife

Like Sammi mentioned, I have sort of set my travel plans for the summer. Plans include a cruise in Croatia in early June, NYC for Travel Blog Exchange, road trip to Boston with the family and a return to Charleston for Hanna's wedding. All this summer. But I may have just added another item on my list. Thailand. Seriously. My mom called me tonight telling me there was an opening on the mission trip to Chiang Mai that she took last year. I would end up going straight to Croatia from there. Part of me says it's crazy and I will be jet lagged as hell, but if I can't take this kind of risk, when can I? The trip is already paid for and I'm dying to go there. So is it worth it? I just don't know. I want to pack as much into this summer as I can because I could have some boring desk job by next year. 

Since Sammi wrote her post, she has been offered a job WWOOFing in Montana. This sounds like exactly like what she was looking for. I wish her the best!

Trois Soeurs

Three sisters. Three states. Three unique voices. That's what this blog is about. If you've read my sisters' guest posts on my blog, Caroline in the City, you know that we all have very distinct perspectives.

We all started out in the suburbs of Atlanta. I am the oldest, followed two years after by Sammi and another four years by Rachel. We fought a lot when we were younger and still do. But I think we are closer now than ever.

I was the first to sprout my wings and leave for college in Charleston. This place has changed me significantly. I was naive and quirky and completely lost. I may not have it all together now, but I have discovered what I truly love: family, friends, good food, good books, traveling and this gorgeous city of mine.

Next was Sammi, who chose the polar opposite location: the mountains of Boone, North Carolina. She developed friendships and has really found a home there. From her favorite house on Howard's Knob to the delicious burritos of Black Cat, she knows Boone like the back of her hand.

And Rachel is still coming into her own in our hometown of Marietta, Georgia. She is only fifteen and has traveled through most of Europe. I know big things are coming her way. She is a great writer, actress, singer, stylist and missionary. There's no telling where she will end up, but I have a sneaking suspicion it's at the top.

So this blog is as much of a way for us to talk to each other as it is to talk to readers. I hope you enjoy.
